Terms of Use

Last updated 15 September 2026

RecipeGo is a recipe app made by Taralia LLC. These terms are the agreement between you and us about using it. We have tried to write them in plain language; where something is a real commitment, we have said so plainly rather than burying it.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating a RecipeGo account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use RecipeGo.

You must be at least 13 years old to use RecipeGo. RecipeGo is not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

2. Your account

You need an account to save recipes, because your library is stored on our servers so it is there on any device you sign in to. You can create one with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password and tell us.

We may send you email that is necessary to run the service — confirming your address, resetting your password, telling you about a change to these terms or to pricing. These are not marketing and you cannot unsubscribe from them while you have an account.

3. What RecipeGo does

RecipeGo takes a recipe from wherever you found it and turns it into a clean, structured recipe in your own library.

Most recipe websites publish their recipes in a machine-readable format. When they do, we read it directly: this is fast, it costs nothing, and no artificial intelligence is involved.

When a site does not, or when you are importing from a photograph, a social post or pasted text, we ask an AI model to read it instead. Two things about that are commitments, not just descriptions:

Section 4 of our Privacy Policy explains which companies process that content and what they may do with it.

4. Plans, credits and payment

There are three ways to use RecipeGo, and they are designed to work together rather than as a ladder you have to climb.

Free

A free account is a real account, not a trial. It does not expire.

The monthly allowances reset on a rolling 30-day cycle from when your account was created, not on the first of the month. The app shows you what you have left before you spend anything.

Pay-as-you-go: single imports

If you reach a limit — a monthly AI allowance, or the 20-recipe library — and do not want a subscription, you can buy a single import.

If you refund a single import. Refunds are handled by Google Play, not by us, and we honour them. When a refund reaches us we remove the credit that purchase bought. If it had already been spent on a recipe, you keep the recipe but it stops being exempt from the 20-recipe limit — so it counts toward your library like any other. If that puts you over the limit, nothing is deleted; you simply cannot add more until you are back under it or you subscribe.

A refund can also leave your credit balance below zero. When that happens, your next purchase settles what is owed before it buys anything, and the app tells you so before taking the payment rather than afterwards.

Pro subscription

Pro is billed monthly or annually through Google Play. It includes:

We say 100 rather than "unlimited" on purpose. Every AI import costs us real money, and a plan advertised as unlimited either is not, or has to be priced for the heaviest imaginable user. A hundred a month is more than three a day, every day — far more than anyone cooking at home imports. If you genuinely need more, write to us — we would rather hear from you than quietly throttle you.

There are also short-term limits that apply on every plan to protect the service: 20 imports per day and 10 in quick succession. These are not something a person cooking dinner will meet.

Billing, renewal and cancelling

If we change prices, we will tell you by email before the change affects you, and a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

5. Your recipes are yours

You keep ownership of everything you put into RecipeGo: recipes, notes, photographs, cook logs, lists and plans.

You give us permission to store and process that content only so far as we need to in order to run the service for you — to save it, sync it to your devices, search it, and show it back to you. We do not publish your library, sell it, or use it to advertise to you.

You can export everything as JSON at any time from Settings → Data & export, and you can delete your account from the same screen.

6. Recipes you import from elsewhere

When you import a recipe from a website or a social post, we keep a link to the original and the author's name where we can determine it, and we show both on the recipe.

Ingredient lists and the functional steps of a recipe are generally not protected by copyright; the surrounding writing, the photographs and the presentation usually are. RecipeGo is built around that distinction: we store the structured recipe for your own use and we do not republish anyone's article, photographs or prose.

You are responsible for what you import and for respecting the terms of the sites and services you import from. If you are a creator and believe RecipeGo is being used in a way that infringes your rights, write to us at the address below and we will act on it.

7. Nutrition, allergens and other estimates

Nutrition figures and allergen flags in RecipeGo are estimates, and you should not rely on them for a medical or safety decision.

They are produced by matching the text of your ingredients against a public food database. That process cannot see brands, cannot see substitutions you made while cooking, cannot see "may contain" warnings from a manufacturer, and does not know how a recipe was actually prepared.

If you have a food allergy or a medical condition, check the original ingredients and the packaging in front of you. RecipeGo is a cooking tool, not a dietary or medical service, and nothing in it is medical advice.

AI-extracted recipes can also contain mistakes. That is exactly why every AI import is shown to you for review before it is saved, and why the original source stays linked on the recipe.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not:

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why first.

9. Changes, suspension and ending your account

We may change RecipeGo, including adding, altering or withdrawing features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell you by email before it takes effect and you may cancel.

We may change these terms. If the change is material we will tell you by email and give you notice before it applies. Continuing to use RecipeGo after that means you accept the new terms.

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Data & export. Deleting your account removes your library and your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Export first if you want to keep a copy — we cannot restore a deleted account.

We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. If we stop offering RecipeGo altogether, we will give reasonable notice and time to export your library, and refund the unused part of any subscription you have already paid for.

10. Liability

RecipeGo is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every imported recipe or estimate will be correct.

To the extent the law allows, Taralia LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to RecipeGo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, and the courts of that Commonwealth have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek an injunction anywhere it is needed.

If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
